To encourage informed and active participation in government and
Increase understanding of public policy issues.

Changes in Illinois law now allow us to register any Illinois resident, expanding our voter registration capabilities. We aspire to instill voting as a habit in all eligible segments of our community.

New and varied election processes -- electronic voting machines, early voting, and new polling locations -- require constant vigilance to provide accurate voter information to the public.

An important primary election is coming up in February, 2008, and voters will turn to the League for nonpartisan, reliable information on the issues.
